Diana Butler Bass, author of Grateful, The Transformative Power of Giving Thanks, quotes Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in her prologue,

“In normal life one is not at all aware that we always receive infinitely more than we give, and that gratitude is what enriches life. One easily overestimates the importance of one’s acts and deeds, compared with what we become only through other people.”

We continue to “become” as a congregation through other people. To honor Pastor Luther’s time with us and ‘how we became with him”, we are giving the organization, Elevate New England, $3,060.00.

The seed of giving continues to grow and “become”. Pastor Luther donated to our congregation a number of books that he has authored which are a compilation of some of his sermons. He requested a $10.00 donation for each book. He asked that this money be paid forward to Operation Blessing. This amount has so far totaled $855.50.
