VBS thank you
The Faith formation Team, led by Lara Scammon, would like to thank the children, youth, families and volunteers who participated in Vacation Bible School this summer! It was wonderful to focus on God’s great love for us and God’s call on our lives. We are grateful that Pastor George could spend the week teaching us Bible stories, leading us in songs and prayers, and helping us understand the scripture and Bible points.
We are also grateful for Bonnie Sanders who assisted with teaching each night and shared her puppets to help us learn the important lesson of the Good Samaritan. We were grateful for Penny Williams, and Ellie and Henry Moore, who assisted with activities. Jill Larson and Glenn Oswald provided great leadership with the crafts and interactive games. Tommy Monareh was wonderful tech support, and Mark Donahue offered super organizational support. It was wonderful to have Susan Bock, Pamela Brouker, and Ade Monareh, as well as mom’s Annie and April who all gave extra help for crafts and singing.
For our dinners each night, we were grateful for Cristina Dolcino’s delicious hamburger and hot dog dinner on Sunday and for Sue Kelsch’s excellent food service for dinner and dessert each day. The food added a lot to the celebration. Everyone’s participation made it a wonderful week of learning that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Praise the Lord!
