Earth’s Climate Crisis, ELCA Church Council Social Message (2023). This Social Message updates and expands the contents of the Caring for Creation Social Statement.
Beyond Eschatology: Environmental Pessimism and the Future of Human Hoping, Willa Swenson-Lengyl, Journal of Religious Ethics (2017). The author examines the issues of eschatological reflection and hope during our environmental crises.
Moral Paralysis and Practical Denial: Environmental Ethics in Light of Human Failure, Willa Swenson-Lengyl, Journal of the Society of Christian Ethics (2017). Interfacing psychological and sociological research with a Lutheran meaning for sin, the author investigates the forms of inaction regarding our response to climate change.
